Deanna Amato, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She brings over a decade of experience serving children, adults, and families impacted by abuse, poverty, substance use, trauma, parenting challenges, behavioral concerns, and major life transitions.
Deanna is certified in the Foundations of Infant Mental Health and is a rostered Child–Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) provider. CPP is an evidence-based, trauma-informed intervention for children ages 0–6 and their caregivers who have experienced traumatic events or are navigating attachment, emotional, and behavioral difficulties, including post-traumatic stress. In 2026, Deanna is pursuing specialized ADHD certification as part of her continued commitment to providing compassionate, informed care for individuals and families affected by ADHD.
Deanna’s counseling approach is relational and strengths-based, grounded in collaboration, empathy, and respect for each client’s unique story. She partners with clients to identify their goals, build resilience, and move toward healing and wholeness. As a faith-based clinician, Deanna is committed to thoughtfully integrating clients’ spiritual values and beliefs into the therapeutic process—when desired—recognizing that restoration often occurs through balance of mind, body, spirit, and community.
