The mental health crisis is undeniable. Waitlists stretch for months. Insurance coverage has massive gaps. And many people who need help can’t afford it.
Samaritan is different. We’re built on the belief that everyone deserves care—not just those with means. That’s why we serve over 2,500 clients annually, including those requiring reduced-fee sessions through our Client Assistance Fund and hundreds more through completely no-cost sessions.
At the heart of every session is a real person: the single mother who finally found safety for her daughter. The family recovering after losing everything in a hurricane. The teenager learning to manage anxiety. The widow navigating overwhelming grief.
Through partnerships with local nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable populations, Samaritan extends care to those facing the greatest barriers—ensuring that healing reaches every corner of our community.
The counselor shortage is crushing our region. With the local population projected to grow 50% by 2045, we need more professionals—fast.
Samaritan’s solution? Train them ourselves. Our rolling two-year internship program graduates newly licensed counselors annually. Since inception, 25 interns from 12 universities nationwide have completed the program. But It’s not enough. To meet the rising demand, we must expand this program.
